Bottom of the Curb
I'm torn, out of the narrow berth of material that Houston released, this could be my favorite Houston alb. But I go back and forth to "Head Like a Road Map" or this one, "Bottom of the Curve." My only complaint is the segue tracks in between the meatier songs on "Head Like a Road Map." Although I have to say my favorite tracks are on "Head..." It's similar to the argument for Shiner, "The Egg" vs. "Lula Divinia." Of course I've met a few ppl, the minority who think "Starless" is the better alb.
Bottom of the Curve has a lot of great tunes on it, very few segues, thankfully. More meatier songs, high grade beef shanks! What's your favorite song on the album? Comment here and let me know

Upon my first listen of this album, "Home for the Holidays" had me totally mesmerized and then had my jaw on the floor by the end of the track. Easily the track that sold me on these guys.

ReplyDeleteDUDE, "Home for the Holidays" is easily my favorite track on that record. The lyrics are on the FB page "Houston was once a simple band." Let me know if you can't find the lyrics for that song!
