Quick, Molly, see Yidhra in the Trans Am!

What a night! I was there with a contingent of friends from all over SoCal. It was great to see Quicksand in a venue versus the mini-dust storm of FYF Fest last year in September. This was their night, and of course they shined and brought out the entourage of songs from Slip to Manic Compression including 2 B-sides (Shovel & The Smith's cover). It was my first time hearing Shovel live ever--and I thought they would never play it since it was a B-side. AND, they played one of my favorite Quicksand songs, Blister, for the encore! Enjoy this and spread the love!

The next set is long overdue, it was from March 22nd of last year by Molly McGuire. Their reuniting to do 3 exclusive dates and had a successful Kickstarter campaign raising enough to put out another album. 1 new song was played!

A night fumbling to find an adequate venue to replace the fallen Los Globos. Permit issues the night of their show w/Iron Mtn, Castle, and Behold! The Monolith! Good thing they're rescheduling this evening in February. Sabbathy and dark!

Thrill Jockey 20th anniversary show in which I would've favored Trans Am as the headlining act, but it was Wooden Shjips. Not the biggest fan of the Shjips, but a newly found fan of the Trans Am! Great set overall!
