The Deaf Tones! Chi's last show in LA...

On 9/17/08, Deftones announced that they would play Spaceland (now is the Satellite).  They actually jumped on These Arms Are Snakes and MM/DD/YYYY gig.  TAAS played a sweet set as well as Deftones.  This was Chi Cheng's last show in LA before his accident the following November and they played a song off of EROS named, "Melanie."  RIP Chi...

2X (YOU! Emperor Black Godspeed) equals what?

The 2nd time seeing this great post-rock band live. The music is fantastic and the visuals were stunning. The opening act was called the Dead C and were hardly entertaining compared to Godspeed. The Dead C was a one man looping act with doom riffs sort of. He played a few riffs and it was really repetitive. At least Godspeed came to save the night! Just shy of 2 hours this post rock band played only a handful of songs. "Behemoth" was the most memorable track and is not available on any of Godspeed's albums *yet?*. Anywhoo, enjoy this set from LA's The Fonda!

My buddy smitterous recorded this at the Fox Pomona show 2 days after the LA date. Just listen to this and close your eyes! Imagine being there. Thanks, smitterous for the recording and sharing this with the world! Enjoy this set from Pomona's Fox Theater!

Houston Lyrics for Overhead

Overhead lyrics by Onesimpleband.

Bender was the song that hooked me into Houston (Minneapolis, MN) from the site ages ago. is revamped and is under new ownership so you probably won't find any Houston there.  Just checked that site and it hasn't been updated in 2013... or so.

Anyways, Houston will always be one of my favorites.  One of the few bands that I'm proud to say that I've seen over 15x live.  They even toured with Shiner to the West Coast a few times.  Never a disappointing live show and that "was" a fact.  I sincerely hope that Jeff Halland returns with a music project to remind us how great of a song writer he is.  I'll be posting more lyrics soon for the other albums...

It's Gonna Be A Midget X-Mas Demo [HUM]

Thanks for downloading my original flac version of HUM's "It's Gonna Be A Midget X-Mas" Demos. My best friend, Tyrone, was working for Christine from Larrikin Management (TOOL, Geraldine Fibbers, psychotica, etc). I happened to make a copy of this cassette from Tyrone who "borrowed" the whatever generation tape that Christine had. I had transferred this cassette many years ago (March 23, 2002 as per date of the original files) and had backed them up luckily and found them recently.

I included png files of the spectral diagrams of each song from my original transfer.

Anywho, I JUST remastered from the original WAV files that I saved and realized that I was transcoding the original. I didn't know this occurred even with the original WAVs. Oh well...

I always wanted to hear this track... in a different way!
